Country Lane Foods was formed in 1993 by Tina Lapthorne primarily to manufacture boiled eggs and pickled products which we started at home by converting our garage into a self-contained workshop. It then branched into grading and packing shell eggs for the retail sector by which time we took on three units at Pensilva Industrial Estate. With continued expansion in 2003 Nigel Lapthorne joined the business and we then moved to larger premises at Horningtops near Liskeard where we were grading and packing in excess of 3,000,000 eggs per week with a substantial local customer base throughout Devon and Cornwall working with local farmers to supply eggs. Our son Scott then joined the company in 2007 and is still with us today. We also acquired in 2008 Tredinnick Farmshop and Tea Rooms at Widegates near Looe and a web based hamper business which supplies bespoke food ingredients from Devon and Cornwall which currently trades as Country Lane Hampers using only the finest food products from Devon and Cornwall Food producers. Our daughter Katie after giving birth to a beautiful grandson has joined our team at the farmshop.

When the opportunity arose with Nick Barclay to take on food4myholiday.com, we thought it would further compliment our passion to work with local food producers and growers to further promote Cornish products. By taking on food4myholiday.com we are fully aware of the passion and commitment that Nick and his team have put into the business from the outset and we too are as committed to delivering the same high quality service that existing customers have come to expect and new customers would equally expect.
